About this grant

The project goal is to promote community-led implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the United States. During the past four years, the United Nations Foundation has led the American Leadership on the Sustainable Development Goals program. This initiative has fostered collective action in new communities across the country by convening stakeholders, compiling and sharing best practices, producing research and amplifying local stories. Over the next two years, the program will continue to amplify what works, share useful resources and provide evidence and dialogue in support of domestic activities on the Sustainable Development Goals. Outputs will include targeted roundtables and convenings, an annual event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, a communications toolkit and resources, research products, policy briefs and a regular newsletter. Founded in 1998, the United Nations Foundation acts as a strategic partner to help the United Nations mobilize the ideas, people and resources it needs to deliver on its mission.
