About this grant
The project goal is to support the construction, maintenance and programming of public spaces in southeast Michigan. To this end, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan will create a fund to celebrate Mariam Noland’s retirement — known as the Mariam C. Noland Public Spaces Fund. This fund will provide support for public spaces including parks, trails, nature preserves or civic commons. The grantee was established in 1984 for the betterment of the residents of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston counties and enhances the quality of life in southeast Michigan by making strategic investments in programs and organizations that benefit the region.
