About this grant
This grant will renew general purposes support to Focus: HOPE, an anti-poverty and civil rights organization that serves residents of Detroit’s Oakman Boulevard neighborhood. Cofounded in 1968 by Father William Cunningham and Eleanor Josaitis, the grantee’s mission is to provide intelligent and practical solutions to overcome racism, poverty and injustice. Mott Foundation funding will help support the grantee’s core lines of work: 1) workforce development and education; 2) early learning and youth development; and 3) food justice.
