California Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Foundation for California Community Colleges which coordinates the California State Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) educate stakeholders across the education, health and human service sectors on the importance of afterschool as an opportunity to continuously support student mental health; 2) create systemic workforce solutions through pathways into, within and through afterschool; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help California youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen Education, Inc. resources.
