Iowa Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Iowa Children’s Museum which coordinates the Iowa Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) enhance professional development opportunities for afterschool providers through new partnerships statewide, with a focus on staff and youth wellbeing; 2) utilize family engagement strategies to improve youth outcomes, share resources and generate new partnerships with key afterschool stakeholders; 3) work with education stakeholders to design and implement education recovery funding to help Iowa youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen Education, Inc. resources.
