About this grant
The Ecology Center is a national leader in addressing toxic chemicals in the environment, such as pre-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as PFAS, and is the co-founder and coordinator of the Great Lakes PFAS Action Network, a coalition of PFAS-impacted communities and environmental organizations founded in 2021. With partial support from the Mott Foundation, the network has grown its membership and public visibility, becoming a trusted source on PFAS issues for citizens, the media and policymakers. With renewed support, the network will continue to provide resources and support to citizen leaders from impacted communities so they can collectively aim to stop further PFAS contamination, clean up contaminated sites and support the immediate needs of communities harmed by PFAS.
