About this grant
This grant to Bethel United Methodist Church will provide funds for facility repairs. The repairs are needed due to the high volume of Help Center Capital Improvements’ activities at the site since 2016. The Help Centers started as a response to the water crisis and have continued to provide needed resources during the pandemic. Each week, heavy semitrucks deliver food, water and other resources to the Help Center sites which have had a significant impact on the parking lots and warehouses. The Help Centers work with many other organizations across the city, including the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Genesee Health System, Hamilton Healthcare Network and Genesee County Health Department.
