About this grant
Founded in 1934, the Metropolitan Planning Council has been committed for many years to addressing critical environmental issues faced by Chicago, Illinois and the Great Lakes region, including the sustainable management of the region’s water resources. During the previous grant period, the grantee: 1) conducted research; 2) led collaborative policy development processes; and 3) helped implement policies and practices on a range of issues such as transit, housing and water resources. With renewed Mott Foundation support, the Metropolitan Planning Council will continue its full range of programming including efforts to promote green stormwater infrastructure and accelerate lead service line replacement.
