Action for Clean Drinking Water

About this grant

Midwest Environmental Advocates is the only Wisconsin-based nonprofit environmental law center that directly represents and assists local communities to address threats to safe, clean and abundant water in the state. With previous Mott Foundation support, the grantee has provided legal and technical support to Wisconsin communities on issues ranging from groundwater pollution to lead poisoning to the regulation of toxic chemicals like PFAS found in the environment. With renewed support, the grantee will help residents — including Tribal and rural communities — address the continued threats to safe water, especially nutrient pollution and lead in drinking water and advance the protection of wetlands.
