About this grant

This grant will provide general purposes support to the American Immigration Council as they work to assist immigrants and improve the overall immigration system. The grantee: 1) manages a network of nearly 14,000 lawyers and law students, interpreters and social workers that provide support for immigrants; 2) conducts impact litigation and advocacy; 3) researches and analyzes immigration policy; and 4) collaborates with civic and business leaders to develop plans that improve the social and economic wellbeing of immigrants. Founded in 1987, the American Immigration Council focuses on working toward a more fair and just immigration system that opens its doors to those in need of protection and harnesses the skills that immigrants bring.
