About this grant
This renewal grant will allow Michigan State University to continue providing support to Flint Community Schools with technical assistance aimed at increasing district capacity, improving school culture, increasing operational efficiency and improving student academic outcomes. To achieve these goals, technical assistance will be focused on supporting district leaders in developing and implementing a multi-phase plan for restructuring the learning environments for Flint Community School scholars. The grantee will support the district’s implementation of four primary components of its strategic plan: 1) scholar focus; 2) teaching and instruction; 3) climate and culture; and 4) data knowledge and application while building the capacity of leaders to implement the district’s planned reduction in school facilities.
