About this grant
This renewal grant provides general purposes support to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint. The grantee focuses on education, creativity, physical activity, health and family support services while offering year-round programming to young people between the ages of 7 and 17 in the Flint area. The grantee operates two sites, one located on the east side and the other on the south side of the city. Programs such as this have been instrumental in mitigating the negative effects of challenges such as the water crisis, learning loss resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of poverty. By providing students with highly engaging educational and enrichment opportunities in a safe and supportive environment, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint continues to stay true to its mission to enable young people in the Flint area to reach their full potential.
