About this grant
This grant to Specialized Employment Services, Inc. will support the Flint STRIVE Academy Youth Empowerment Program for at-risk youth ages 14 to 18. The grantee provides young people with a summertime employment experience and follow-up support services during the school year. Through attitudinal training, skill enhancement, mentoring and tutoring, the goal is to encourage youth to complete high school and to help with making informed career decisions.
