About this grant
Development banks, including the Brazilian Development Bank, are promoting increased use of oil and gas and the expansion of gas into the electrical sector. Given the role fossil fuels play in accelerating climate change, these development strategies are problematic. 350.org is a global environmental organization based in the United States and has developed a strong team in South America since it was founded in 2008. This project grant will support the grantee to engage its grassroots network to address the social and environmental impacts of fossil fuel finance and expansion in South America.
