About this grant
The Great Lakes Environmental Law Center is a nonprofit environmental law organization headquartered in Michigan. The grantee supports local community members on water resource management issues. Previous Mott Foundation support has enabled the grantee to advance legal protections and public engagement related to drinking water quality, affordability and water resources protection in lakes, wetlands and streams. With renewed Mott Foundation support, the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center will continue collaborating with various stakeholders to advance legal protections and policy solutions to key water management issues, including water quality, affordability and the sustainable protection of Michigan’s water resources.
