About this grant
This grant will support the organizational and programmatic development of People in Need, one of the largest nonprofits in Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in 1992, the grantee provides relief and development assistance in response to natural disasters and violent conflict, promotes human rights, civic engagement and civil society development and supports social inclusion and integration for marginalized groups. During the grant period, the grantee will continue to respond to crises arising from war and conflict, natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic through its humanitarian relief programs and its support to civil society organizations working on education, human rights and social inclusion. This grant increase will enable the grantee to respond to the humanitarian needs arising from the war in Ukraine and support the work of Ukrainian civil society organizations during the crisis. People in Need is based in Prague, Czech Republic.
