About this grant
This grant to the STEM Next Opportunity Fund will support the Afterschool and Summer Learning Fellowship, the Robert Noyce-Ellen Lettvin Fellowship in informal STEM learning and the School Aged and Early Care Fellowship. The fellowships are a public-private partnership initiative geared toward advancing high-quality afterschool, summer learning and informal STEM learning and cross-agency partnerships to support afterschool and summer learning. This initiative will: 1) strengthen collaboration between the U.S. Department of Education and other federal agencies in the areas of afterschool and informal STEM learning; 2) work to advance afterschool and STEM learning in the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program; and 3) work with leading researchers to identify priorities, new tools, strategies and programs that improve afterschool and STEM learning opportunities.
