About this grant
With this grant, the YMCA of Greater Flint will partner with the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation to construct a new multi-use facility in downtown Flint designed to co-locate affordable housing, a community wellness center and youth education and family programming. The building will include 55,000 square feet for a new YMCA facility and 50 affordable and market-rate apartments. Together, the new facility will increase the vitality and vibrancy of downtown Flint while addressing the housing and wellness needs of Flint and Genesee County residents of all ages.
