About this grant
This grant to El Ballet Folklorico Estudiantil will support mariachi music and folklorico dance cultural education and instruction in Flint. The majority of participants are Hispanic; however, the program is open to all interested young people. Program participants showcase their talent and newly acquired skills at in-person community events and virtual concerts. The program fee is extremely low and does not cover the full cost of staffing. This grant will help ensure continued high-quality instruction and access for any child who wishes to participate, regardless of ability to pay.
