About this grant
The Conservation Fund is a national organization that promotes conservation and sustainable economic development. The grantee’s Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network seeks to advance economic, environmental and social sustainability in Michigan’s Saginaw Bay area. With previous Mott Foundation support, the grantee regranted funds to support projects that improve water quality and freshwater habitat in the watershed and hosted its State of the Bay conference with record attendance. With this renewal, the Conservation Fund will continue to: 1) support the regranting program; 2) broaden the network; and 3) develop projects that increase public awareness about the issues in the region that impact land, water and community.
