About this grant

The education field has been changed significantly by recent trends, including the COVID-19 pandemic, a national reckoning on race and a once-in-a-generation influx of federal education funding. Understanding how these and other trends may impact instruction and learning is critical to any efforts to transform education systems. This grant will enable Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP to identify and frame major trends that could greatly impact education — and efforts to improve educational outcomes — over the next 10-15 years. Planned activities include a literature review, historical reflection, data analyses, as well as interviews and focus groups with thought leaders from different roles and perspectives across the education ecosystem and beyond. Nelson Mullins is a U.S. law firm that has significant consulting experience in policy, strategy, law and advocacy to drive improvements in the U.S. education system.
