About this grant

This grant continues support for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities to expand economic opportunity and eliminate poverty. The grantee is known for its efforts to ensure federal and state governments have adequate resources and prioritize investments in basic needs, education, childcare and healthcare. To accomplish these goals, the grantee will continue: 1) monitoring policy and budget changes to the social safety net; 2) preparing policy briefs and analyses of budget and fiscal policy; 3) supporting and coordinating low-income advocates working at the state and local levels; and 4) providing strategic and technical assistance to state and local policymakers and program administrators overseeing policy and programs affecting low-income families. Located in Washington, D.C., the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is one of the premier policy research and development institutions in the United States.
