About this grant
This grant will renew general purposes support to Focus: HOPE, an anti-poverty and civil rights organization that serves residents of Detroit’s Oakman Boulevard neighborhood. Mott Foundation funding will help support the grantee’s core lines of work: 1) workforce development and education; 2) early learning and youth development; and 3) food justice. Cofounded in 1968 by Father William Cunningham and Eleanor Josaitis, the grantee’s mission is to provide intelligent and practical solutions to overcome racism, poverty and injustice.
