About this grant
Scientists estimate that approximately one-third of the greenhouse gas emissions reductions needed by 2030 must come from absorbing climate pollution in forests, wetlands, grasslands and on agricultural land. In 2020, the Environmental Defense Fund — a major national environmental organization — helped convene and launch the Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance, a group of more than 60 agricultural and environmental leaders that promote shared climate policy priorities. With partial support from the Mott Foundation, the Environmental Defense Fund will help build the capacity of the alliance at the state and regional levels.
