About this grant
The Socio-Environmental Fund CASA provides small grants and capacity-building support to strengthen community organizations facing threats posed by development projects supported by international financial institutions. Over the past grant period, CASA supported twenty grassroots organizations with subgrants and other measures while also contributing to the growth of the Southern Funds Alliance, a regional network of small grant funds. The renewal will allow CASA to continue to provide support to up to 20 local community organizations in Brazil focused on energy infrastructure and sustainable finance. CASA will also document and broadly share lessons learned from its decades of work.
