About this grant
Founded in 1985, the New York-based Citizens Campaign Fund for the Environment, with over 120,000 members, is one of the largest grassroots environmental organizations in the state. The grantee conducts research, educates the public and supports policies that protect the environment from ongoing threats to clean water, clean air and healthy communities. With previous Mott Foundation support, Citizens Campaign Fund for the Environment connected community priorities to environmental policy decisions at the state level through coalitions and consensus building. With renewed funding, the grantee will lead a range of statewide education initiatives, including those that protect and benefit the Great Lakes and the people who reside in the region.
