About this grant
The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan works to expand and strengthen financial security in communities across the state. Since 2011, the Mott Foundation has supported the grantee’s efforts coordinating statewide engagement and education activities that increase awareness and support for children’s savings accounts. With this grant, the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan will focus on expanding access to children’s savings accounts across Michigan. This proposed project scope will work to: 1) build a data-driven infrastructure; 2) empower local communication; 3) champion the cause of children’s savings accounts by actively engaging with philanthropic and corporate stakeholders to generate additional funding; and 4) enhance the capacity of local programs. This project promises significant long-term benefits for Michigan’s students and the state’s overall economic well-being.
