About this grant
The Great Lakes Islands Alliance — a project of the Stewardship Network — is a bi-national, voluntary collaborative network consisting of over 250 island leaders from 20 islands in the Great Lakes region. With previous Mott Foundation support, the grantee was able to expand its membership and implement island-appropriate solutions to an array of environmental challenges, from rising lake levels to climate resiliency to water pollution. With renewed support, the Stewardship Network will be able to strengthen the connections and communications among and between islands and islanders while advancing stewardship of island natural resources.
