About this grant
This grant will support the work of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and its partners to engage in violence prevention strategies. This will include trainings for community organizations and residents in areas such as conflict resolution, communication, mediation and mentoring. As part of this grant, community conversations will engage residents in high risk areas of Flint to develop long-term, trusted relationships that can help to prevent violence. Funds will also support community-based grief support.
