About this grant

Justice in Motion provides legal support to immigrants as they migrate from their home countries into the United States. During the previous grant period, the grantee facilitated cross-border immigration protection and legal services through its Defender Network, hosted virtual trainings on migration issues and immigration law and reunified families. During this grant period, the grantee will work on: 1) immigration protection for asylum seekers; 2) reunifying families; 3) migrant labor rights; and 4) expansion of the Defender Network. Founded in 2005, the grantee was originally called Global Workers Justice Alliance and focused on providing legal assistance and expertise to migrant workers. In 2016, the grantee changed its name to Justice in Motion and expanded its mission to include humanitarian immigration and civil rights work.
