About this grant

This grant will provide general purposes support to the American Immigration Council as it works to assist immigrants and improve the overall immigration system. The grantee: 1) manages a network of nearly 16,000 lawyers and law students, interpreters, and social workers that provide support for immigrants; 2) conducts impact litigation and advocacy; 3) researches and analyzes immigration policy; and 4) collaborates with civic and business leaders to develop plans that improve the social and economic well-being of immigrants. Founded in 1987, the American Immigration Council focuses on working toward a more fair and just immigration system that opens its doors to those in need of protection and harnesses the skills that immigrants bring.
