About this grant
This grant provides funding to an organization focused on the advancement of community foundations in Australia. To this end, Community Foundations Australia will foster the establishment of new community foundations in underserved regions, strengthen the organizational capacity of existing community foundations, and align the activities of community foundations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing local priorities and needs to maximize relevance and impact. Activities will include: 1) developing an Australian community foundation “SDG Playbook”; 2) conducting workshops and training sessions for staff, board members and volunteers of Australian community foundations; 3) conducting community needs assessments that are aligned with the goals; and 4) developing partnerships with other relevant stakeholders in order to implement the goals on the local level.
