About this grant

The goal of this project is to build the awareness and capacity of community foundations to use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a tool for aligning and informing their work around climate change and climate justice. To this end, the Community Foundation Climate Collaborative will build awareness of the goals among its members and incorporate the goals’ framework into its learning sessions and in-person convenings. The collaborative will build the capacity of its members to identify meaningful targets and indicators for their environmental and climate-related priorities and develop cases of those that illustrate the practices and benefits of incorporating the goals into their climate change and climate justice grantmaking. The Community Foundation Climate Collaborative currently has 46 members in the United States. It is part of a larger network, the Community Foundation Opportunity Network, whose fiscal sponsor is the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
