Building Policy Capacity for Lean Funders

About this grant

The project goal is to deepen and expand the work of Exponent Philanthropy to support and encourage lean funders across the country to engage in and fund civic engagement and policy advocacy. The grantee will enhance the advocacy-related elements of its most popular tools, resources and programming to provide its network with accessible and innovative approaches to locally-led advocacy at the city, state and federal level. With nearly 1,600 members, Exponent Philanthropy is the largest philanthropic network in the country and the only membership association that specifically focuses on families, companies and individuals who practice philanthropy with few to no staff — called “lean philanthropy.”
