About this grant

Reducing the risks of climate change is vital to the United States’ long-term economic and national security interests. The Conservative Coalition for Climate Solutions provides conservative thought leadership in this critical and complex policy arena. Broadly speaking, the grantee promotes a set of policy ideas meant to: 1) increase and diversify U.S. energy supplies; 2) accelerate energy innovation; 3) build a resilient and reliable infrastructure; and 4) steward healthy environments while expanding economic freedom. With prior Mott Foundation support, the grantee advanced these ideas by: 1) educating conservative policymakers and other stakeholders; 2) strengthening coalitions of conservative organizations involved in climate and energy conversations; and 3) growing the organization’s online news magazine and other public communications. With renewed support, the Conservative Coalition for Climate Solutions will continue this full range of activities including the publication of signature documents, such as “Free Economies are Clean Economies,” and high-level participation at major events such as the United Nations conference on climate change in Azerbaijan.
