About this grant

This grant will help to support the development of community foundations in Ukraine. Initially established in 2014, the National Network of Local Philanthropy Development in Ukraine became active in 2019 as a full-fledged community foundation support organization. Its purpose is to develop social capital and philanthropic culture for the sustainable development of communities in Ukraine. Currently, the grantee supports its 15 community foundation members through: 1) capacity building; 2) communication; 3) advocacy; 4) regranting funds; and 5) building an enabling environment for philanthropy. The grantee also supports YouthBank Initiatives. The grantee intends to apply general purposes funding to improve its organizational capacity through additional skills training for the staff. National Network of Local Philanthropy Development in Ukraine will also upgrade its website, conduct a study on philanthropy in Ukraine, publish a magazine about philanthropy, and create and publish a course on philanthropy.
