About this grant

This grant will provide general purposes funding to Michigan Community Capital to ensure that projects benefiting low- and moderate-income individuals in Flint, specifically, and Michigan, more broadly, are supported. Throughout Michigan, communities like Flint are unable to attract significant capital to complete development projects that would benefit low- and moderate-income individuals. In addition to building new housing, Michigan Community Capital serves as a Community Development Financial Institution and a certified Community Development Entity. In this capacity, the organization provides three resources to assist communities with development projects: New Market Tax Credit allocations; loans, including construction and permanent financing; and technical assistance services.
