About this grant
This grant increase will support the Black Hills Special Services Cooperative which coordinates the South Dakota Statewide Afterschool Network to leverage opportunities to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. The grant increase will support the grantee to continue to: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people through state afterschool policy and quality initiatives; 2) work with education stakeholders, program providers and policymakers to reduce disruptions for youth and families as American Rescue Plan funding ends; and 3) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems.
