Afterschool and Service-Learning Initiative

About this grant

This grant will support the National Youth Leadership Council to integrate service-learning into afterschool programs, increasing student engagement in their schools and communities. The grant increase will: 1) engage one additional statewide afterschool network to deepen and expand service-learning into local afterschool programs; 2) create additional resources for successful and sustainable integration of service-learning; 3) support a learning community to share information and best practices on service-learning in afterschool programs; and 4) augment the research and development of a multi-state analysis of policies impacting service-learning implementation.
