About this grant
The Family Informed Year-Round Support program, a key initiative of the Flint Freedom Schools Collaborative, is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for families. The primary focus is supporting parents, caregivers and community members in addressing barriers that impact success for kids and families. This grant will assist Flint parents and caregivers by creating a series of parent engagement sessions personalized to their needs as communicated in the grantee’s summer program survey. The program will connect parents to the Flint Parent Collaborative and other city resources that help kids and parents thrive. Further, the grant will assist parents and caregivers in Flint to connect with other cities that are building strong parent engagement networks.
