About this grant
TechSoup, based in San Francisco, will partner with tech companies to offer access to technology and services tailored to the needs of nonprofits, helping them enhance their operations, expand their reach and increase their impact. Specifically, the grantee will: 1) develop its global network to provide education, access to discounted or donated software and hardware and community support that nonprofits need to unlock their potential; 2) offer educational programs, webinars and consultancy to build digital skills and foster collaboration among nonprofits; and 3) open its infrastructure and amend its operating model so that organizations can share their insights, driven by their local experience and data. This will allow the grantee to respond to still-present demands of the global pandemic and a civil society ecosystem that is at risk of falling behind the curve and being less capable of meeting society’s pressing needs. The grantee has been a trusted civil society actor since 1987 and successfully adapted through technology changes with recent curation of artificial intelligence tools for nonprofits. TechSoup has provided access to software for 1.4 million organizations worldwide and distributed products and grants valued at $21 billion.
