About this grant
Founded in 1937, Michigan United Conservation Clubs is one of the largest statewide coalitions of conservation clubs representing the interests of hunters and anglers. The grantees membership includes 40,000 individuals and 200 organizational members. This grant increase, and associated grant period extension, is available for the organization’s general purposes. These activities will include: 1) strengthening its governance systems; 2) engagement of its members on key ongoing Great Lakes freshwater issues; 3) undertaking technical reviews of freshwater management issues; and 4) expanding its youth engagement activities on freshwater and environmental conservation issues in Michigan.
