About this grant
This grant provides funding to an organization focused on enhancing the capacity and knowledge of philanthropic networks. In 2026-27, the United Philanthropy Forum will advocate on behalf of the nonprofit and philanthropic sector in partnership with other infrastructure organizations through five key pillar areas: 1) advocacy and public policy; 2) philanthropic practice; 3) knowledge management; 4) member services; and 5) philanthropic infrastructure sustainability. The grantee will lead a vibrant network; maximize the individual and collective capacity and impact of its members; and provide learning, knowledge and resources to its members. Formed in 1998, as the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, the United Philanthropy Forum is the only professional network that connects regional and national philanthropy-infrastructure organizations to share their vast knowledge and expertise, develop their professional skills and advance their individual and collective work. Its current members are nearly 100 regional and national philanthropy-infrastructure organizations across the United States that represent more than 7,000 foundations and other philanthropic organizations.
