About this grant
Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support (WINGS) is a global network of more than 260 philanthropy support organizations and grantmaker associations working to strengthen philanthropy worldwide through peer learning, research, convening and policy engagement. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, WINGS connects philanthropic infrastructure organizations across 60 countries to strengthen giving ecosystems and promote an enabling environment for philanthropy. During the previous grant period, WINGS: 1) expanded its global network; 2) strengthened regional philanthropy ecosystems; 3) increased philanthropy’s engagement in international policy processes; and 4) launched new initiatives supporting philanthropy transformation. This grant will enable Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support to strengthen philanthropy support ecosystems in the Global South, expand its work to improve the policy environment for philanthropy, advance more equitable philanthropic practices and develop its next organizational strategy.
