About this grant
With this grant, the Flint Center for Educational Excellence will lead community education in 14 Flint area schools. As part of a comprehensive community education model, afterschool programming will be offered in all schools except early learning centers. This year will bring a focus on: 1) improving the quality and reach of the Thrive afterschool program; 2) empowering youth, parents and community stakeholders in the initiative; and 3) piloting and scaling promising practices through the Network for School Excellence.
