About this grant
This grant to Local Initiatives Support Corporation Flint will support the development of a corridor and neighborhood strategy focused on two Flint districts: the University Avenue Corridor/Grand Traverse District and the Latinx Technology & Community Center. The grantee will: 1) conduct a landscape analysis and conditions assessment for each corridor; 2) engage residents, business owners and community stakeholders through site visits and interviews; and 3) develop an action plan for each corridor identifying near-, medium- and longer-term priorities as well as implementation partners. Early implementation activities, such as placemaking, storefront activation or small-business support, will be identified during the grant period.
