About this grant
The Bretton Woods Project, an initiative of the development organization ActionAid, has been a key actor on international financial institution reform issues since it was established in 1995. With Mott Foundation support, the grantee successfully ensured that the World Bank’s lending aligned with the Paris Agreement, strengthened transparency in climate financing and coordinated civil society engagement with the World Bank. With this grant, ActionAid will seek to ensure that the policies promoted by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund facilitate an energy transition that protects the environment, upholds the rights of communities and contributes to positive development impacts.
