About this grant
The Indian Law Resource Center has been a key advocate for Indigenous peoples in the Americas for over 40 years, providing legal expertise to strengthen territorial rights, accountability and Indigenous participation in decision-making. In the previous grant period, the grantee trained more than 60 Indigenous leaders from Brazil and Peru on multilateral development banks and how to engage in their policies and project cycles. Over the next grant period, the grantee will strengthen Indigenous participation in decision-making processes in the Amazon, with the goal of improving environmental and social safeguards tied to large-scale development programs and investments.
