About this grant

Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is a Peruvian nongovernmental organization focused on sustainable development and conservation in the Amazon basin. In the previous grant period, the organization continued to implement its strategic plan, including efforts to strengthen social and environmental safeguards governing the flow of international investment to the region. In the next grant period, the grantee will continue implementing its strategic priorities, including strengthening oversight of infrastructure investments in the Peruvian Amazon and protecting against further deforestation by expanding community-based monitoring and other territorial protection practices. It will also advance community-centered renewable energy solutions that support forest conservation, climate resilience and the rights of Indigenous peoples and traditional communities.
