About this grant
Fondo Emerger is a Colombia-based small-grant fund, established in 2018, that supports grassroots organizations, Indigenous peoples, and local communities working to protect ecosystems and livelihoods. In the Colombian Amazon, communities face accelerating deforestation driven by illegal mining and infrastructure expansion, placing increasing pressure on forests and livelihoods. This general purposes grant will strengthen Fondo Emerger’s institutional capacity to ensure transparent and efficient grantmaking that responds to these escalating threats and supports community-led conservation in the Colombian Amazon.
